I DIDN't i keep falling a couple chapters behind on hq because i forget to check. but i like... reading them in chunks anyway....... (waiting weekly is. such pain)

hmmmMMM i guess i separate respecting his abilities from like, respecting him as a person. yea they realized he was talented, but they thought of him as a tool they could take advantage of, rather than an independent thinking person. and i think that lack of regard is exactly why they expected him to betray his new friend. they sort of assumed a loyalty from him and him having enough self awareness and initiative to go against that never even occured to them because he's not... a real person... to them. that's what i meant by not respecting him. or how i feel about it, anyway
