ohh yeah i agree with you!!!! though i guess the needle thing also complicates things right? like they put that in as a safeguard for when killua wasnt following his training (/brainwashing..?). oh man i could talk about hxh forever... killua is such a great character

hmm, yeah.... altho i imagine the needle thing was momma zoldyck going "UGH is he going to go thru that annoying Teen Phase like you, illumi. isn't there anything we can do about that?? can we skip it" and illumi goes "i have an idea" and tells her and she's just like. yes excellent then we can have complete control and don't have to deal with obnoxious whining and weird boy hormones and annoying rebeliousness, ewww (GOD THEYRE SO TERRIBLE IM ANGRY ADN THIS ISNT EVEN NCNAON)

hahahaha omg i can see it... i can see it.. killuas mom just like "ughh millukis rebellious teen phase was awful, he just sat in his room with his computers all day, not that he doesnt still do that, but at least listens to us now" and illumi is like well i do have a convenient nen power to control people...

also!!!!! I LOVE GON!!!!!!!! ok yes i agree with the blank slate thing. chimera ant arc adult gon is honestly so scary to me though, my friend thinks its awesome but to me its just gon abandoning killua for obsessive, blind revenge

OH MY GOD NOOOOOO!!!! i mean adult gon is sUPER iNTERESTING of a development in terms of gon's character arc and him giving up LIFEFORCE to get revenge on kite's behalf is. so heartbreaking and also such an interesting move storywise but nO it shows gon's lack of self preservation and mOST IMPORTANTLY he's not thinking about killua or milo or pika or leorio or bisky or palm or shoot or knuckle or meleoron or litERALLY ANY OF THE PEOPLE WHO CARE ABOUT HIM he's thinking 'kite's dead' and 'it isn't fair' and 'i want him back' and 'i will do a n y t h i ng' and it's fucking terrifying!! he's not even thinking about the Mission at that point, or... much of any points in that battle. the mission is to stop the King, he's completely focused on Pitou. and he can't accept the loss, he doesn't know how to deal with it he's so yOUNG and he has one thing he knows how to do and doesn't consider the consequences for even a second. it's like, all the worst impulsive traits of a young boy amplified by his power and potential and pain. it hurts me in so m a n y w a y s (but especially. how he treats killua. how even after he's better he knows an apology won't cut it, that he fucked up BIG TIME. how nothing will be the same between them because killua always always always puts gon first but for a second gon didn't he shoved killua aside and neITHER OF THOSE ARE HEALTHY WAYS TO TREAT YOUR FRIEND) (although they WIL L grow and get past it but for now thINGS ARE NOT OK) god the chimera ant arc fuc k s m e up (which is why i cope by coming up with happy dance aus where everyone is blissfully at peace and they're a bIG HAPPY FAMILY)

right!!!!!!! right !!!!!!!!!! exactly!!!!!!!!!! when i say ive rewatched hxh many times i usually stop at the end of greed island lol. i love chimera ant but usually the pain i know im going to experience is too much,,,. do you ever rewatch the earlier happy arcs and think about hte pain that they will have in the future... like when gon and killua go back to whale island together... or when they have so much fun on greed island with bisky..... bc i do....

oh god yea, especially considering chimera ant is like, almost as long as the first three arcs combined. bUTY ES i die watching the whale island ep cause i just. think about. what they're gonna go through. and i;m. asgkjlbdlkgjb ??!?!?!? !!!!! D: D: D: D: D: D:D: algkh;sdkfjgbn PARTICULARLY THE DODGEBALL MATCH, GON'S LINE ABOUT RELYING ON KILLUa HURTS SO MUCH ONCE YOU HAVE FUTURE CONTEXT TO COMPARE IT TO but greed island i adORE because they learn so much and grOW A TON and get to have fun adventures and are together and happy and !!!! OM G EXACTLY THE DODGEBALL HANDS THING ALWAYS GETS ME TOO EVE RY TIME... also yeah greed island is my favorite arc actually!!!!!!!!!!!! everything is so happy and they learn so much and they train so hard and they are so clever!!!!! I LOVE BISKY!!!!!!!! i love the training with the scissors guy (binolt? something like that) and i love the monsters they catch and i love how they healed the bombers at the end and i fuckin love the greed island ar c SO MUCH... i want to know what happens with chrollo though!!!!!!!! hiatus x hiatus pls

omg yea togashi and his hiatuses!!! i can't imagine being in the fandom forever and to have to continually suffer through them without having any idea of how long they'll go, lmfao. i would lOVE for more closure on chrollo and leopika and like. so many other characters??? i want zushi to come back??? and so many other things lmfao. i think i want to leave the series until the hiatus ends, the anime had some decent closure to it..... (as badly as i want... to know about dark continent things........ sigh)

omg zushi!!!!!!!!! i love him..... i wonder how wing san is doing... also same, i havent started dark continent for that reason. better to not know at all than to be waiting for 12309832 years for an update haha. self-preservation?
